Hi my name is Allie Schuck and I am stoked that you have stumbled across Schuck Yes (yay SEO!). Or even better, you actively sought out my page! Either way, I am sending good vibes to you wherever you are in the world!
What is Schuck Yes?
So why Schuck Yes? Well, if you didn’t know already, my last name is Schuck, and this blog is about my life and my best adventures! And the Yes part? Well, ask anyone who knows me and they’ll confirm that I am always the first person to say Yes to a new adventure. Combining the two is meant to instill feelings related to F**k Yes, Hell Yes, Yes Yes, Positively-most-definitely-yes, etc. Hopefully you agree, or at least can appreciate where the name comes from once you read more of my blog.
What is the purpose of this Blog?
The goal of Schuck Yes is to provide insight into the surf spots, outdoor adventures, and high adrenaline activities that I have experienced around the world. In doing so, I hope to inspire you to push outside your comfort zone and really make the most out of every day.
We all experience fear, and we can either let fear keep us from new experiences, or we can face it and open up a whole new world.
From my experiences I have found that so much happiness and personal growth occurs when I step outside my comfort zone. This clip of Will Smith embodies what I mean by the epic feeling that facing your fears can bring (yes skydiving is exactly how he describes it). Not all of my adventures will be extremely crazy, they may be as simple as trying out a new hike, but by sharing the adventures I’ve had around the globe, and the experiences that challenge my comfort zone, I hope to light a spark inside of you and everyone else reading my blog! Or, at the very least provide a few minutes of entertainment each week.
You can choose to live vicariously through what I share, or turn them into your own adventures. Either way, I hope that you will find value in the experiences I share, and that you will ask questions and share some of your own adventures so I can add them to my list!
So who is this chick?
I am a 23 year old Huntington Beach, CA native currently soaking up the sunshine in LA. I graduated from UCLA in June of 2016, got a quick dose of traveling, and then signed myself up for a corporate life. I quickly realized the cube life was not for me…
I feel like I am living 100% of my life in 50% of the time. Sitting in my cube while beautiful, sunshine days passed me by is what motivated me to start Schuck Yes and buy a one way ticket across the world. Am I a bit scared to uproot my happy, comfortable life for the unknown? Schuck Yes! But I know it’s something that I must do.
As I launch Schuck Yes, I am still grinding out my 9-5, but my one way ticket to South East Asia is purchased, and the adventure is about to begin! I hope that you will enjoy reading about some of the things I have already done, and that you stick around for what is to come!
Cheers,
Allie
FIRST!
Allie!
This is so awesome! Good for you on buying your one way ticket to Southeast Asia. I have always wanted to visit there. I will definitely be checking in on Schuck Yes to vicariously live through your traveling adventures.
Thanks for your comment Sadie! I am definitely looking forward to my trip. I would love if you continued to follow my adventures!
Allie,
As well as your logo, I love how you incorporated pictures through out your post! You have a great way of writing so that a more personable connection is made with the reader.
Thank you Kylie! Your comment means a lot because I have not written for fun in a while. I am hoping my style will be liked.
Allie- I am so proud of you for taking this leap of faith & self-discovery. I look forward to following you on this adventure of a lifetime.
Thanks so much Mr. V!
Allie – What an awesome life you are pursuing! I am so lucky as your younger brother to have such an adventurous and loving sister to look up to and strive to be more like. I think about the countless amount of unforgettable experiences that I have and it seems that you have been right there next to me for a majority of them. A couple of my favorite memories are the year we shared in high school and all the fun nights out that you brought me on, the endless amount of river trips, the nights in LA even though I cant remember them, and the bay to breakers parade in SF. There are so many other great times that we have had together which makes me sad that you are leaving. It puts a smile on my face to know that you are going to spread your beautiful personality and approach to life with those who aren’t as fortunate as I with the 21 years I have gotten to spend with you. I will probably be pretty easy to convince mom to take us to see you because she will miss you just as much as I do and we will have such a good time! Travel safe and share your joy! I love you so much and can’t wait to see you again!
Allie,
The blog looks great! I am subscribed so that I won’t miss any details of your awesome adventure! I have been think about you leaving the past week and how sad I am that I won’t see you for some time, but it has made me reflect on the great memories I have with you. The year we shared in high school, river trips, nights I don’t remember in LA, and many others are what I will think of when I am missing you. Your fun, loving and adventurous spirit is so admirable and a large reason to why I look up to you. You know what you want and you won’t stop until you get it. Thank you for showing me the way and inspiring me to live life to the fullest. Travel safe and spread your beautiful personality to all the interesting people you meet. I love you so much and cannot wait to see your face again soon!

How can you feel awesome and awful at the same time? Have your wanderlust daughter leave to travel the world with no return date on the calendar. I will miss you terribly, but the adveture that awaits you will be worth my small suffering. Collect as many stories and sights as you can, for they are life’s true treasures.
