5 Things I never Travel Without

  1. Travel Insurance – Heymondo has been my go-to for the last few years. I love how reasonable the prices are and how easy it is to sign up. They also include coverage of a bunch of adventurous activities! Click here for 5% off your policy.
  2. Travel Credit Cards –ย Having a good travel credit card is a game changer! Not only do you get the benefit of zero transaction fees, but these cards provide other benefits such as, free Priority Pass, free TSA Pre-check/Global Entry, annual travel credits, great point earnings and travel partners. My two favorite cards are the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Capital One Venture X.
  3. Kindle – I love reading and Kindle makes it so easy to download new books on the go!
  4. Osprey Backpack – whether I’m hiking in Patagonia or backpacking Europe, Osprey offers versatile backpacks for any type of travel
  5. AirPodsThese are a total game changer for traveling. I love the noise cancelling capability because it makes airplanes silent and blocks out unwanted noise. They are so much easier to wear around than normal headphones.ย

Patagonia – Chile

As you can see in the map of Patagonia, there are a lot more places to see in Chilean Patagonia. I found it easier to travel through Chilean Patagonia because everything is much closer together. The landscape is so diverse and it is a dreamland for adventurous travelers.

Patagonia – Argentina

Argentina Patagonia is also incredible! It boasts some of the most stand-out points of Patagonia such as Mt Fitzroy, Perito Moreno Glacier, and Ushuaia. There are a lot more tourists on the Argentina side of Patagonia. In addition, the distances between the towns of Bariloche, El Chalten, and Ushuaia are very far. Think 24-hour bus ride far! We spent a lot of money getting between destinations in Argentina, whereas we were able to travel for free in Chilean Patagonia by hitchhiking.

Don’t Forget Travel Insurance!

I never travel without insurance! Heymondo is an excellent choice for the adventurous traveler.ย  They have an extensive list of sports and activities that are covered under their policies. Having coverage for rafting, climbing, skiing, surfing, skydiving, and hiking is super valuable when you are backpacking through Patagonia.ย  A lot of travel insurances do not cover these types of adventure sports so I enjoy knowing that I am always covered! I love that the Heymondo App also has doctors available 24/7 to chat directly too and their claims team is easy to get in touch with.
